Children's Ministry Lesson for November 17

Children's Ministry News

For this Sunday, we will have classes for:
  • Gospel Tots - ages 1 - 2 Years Old
  • Gospel Tykes - ages 3 - 5 Years Old
  • Gospel Kids - K - 2nd Grade
  • Gospel Students - 3rd - 5th Grade
We use the Gospel Project for Kids curriculum for the Children's Ministry at GLC.  The Gospel Project for Kids is a Christ-centered ongoing weekly Bible study resource that looks at the big picture of God's story, the story of redemption through Jesus Christ. Each week, kids of all ages will follow a chronological timeline of Bible events while learning how each story points to the gospel of Jesus Christ.

And now for this week's lesson...

Joseph Taken to Egypt!

This upcoming Sunday your child will learn about: Joseph Taken to Egypt
Story Point from Genesis 37; 39-46; 50: Even when bad things were happening in Joseph's life, God had a plan for good. Bad things also happened to Jesus. Jesus never sinned, but He was arrested, beaten, and killed on a cross. Those things happened to bring about our good—so people could be saved from sin and death through Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection.
Family Bible Reading: You planned evil against me; God planned it for good to bring about the present result—the survival of many people. Genesis 50:20
Big Picture Question: Who is in control of everything?
Big Picture Answer:  God is in control of everything in heaven and on earth. Nothing is outside of God’s good plan.
