Children's Ministry Lesson for January 5

Children's Ministry News

For this Sunday, we will have classes for:
  • Gospel Tots - ages 1 - 2 Years Old
  • Gospel Tykes - ages 3 - 5 Years Old
  • Gospel Kids - K - 2nd Grade
  • Gospel Students - 3rd - 5th Grade
We use the Gospel Project for Kids curriculum for the Children's Ministry at GLC.  The Gospel Project for Kids is a Christ-centered ongoing weekly Bible study resource that looks at the big picture of God's story, the story of redemption through Jesus Christ. Each week, kids of all ages will follow a chronological timeline of Bible events while learning how each story points to the gospel of Jesus Christ.

And now for this week's lesson...

The Ten Commandments

This upcoming Sunday your child will learn about: The Ten Commandments
Story Point from Exodus 19-20, 31: God gave His people commandments so they would know how to honor Him and live rightly. Because of sin, no one is able to keep these commandments perfectly. God sent His Son, Jesus, to live a perfect, sinless life. Jesus died and rose again so that sinners can be forgiven.
Family Bible Reading: There is no one holy like the LORD. There is no one besides you! And there is no rock like our God. 1 Samuel 2:2
Big Picture Question: Why do we need to be saved?
Big Picture Answer:  People are sinful and cannot save themselves.

Gospel Gems to Discuss at Home
