Children's Ministry Lesson for February 2

Children's Ministry News

For this Sunday, we will have classes for:
  • Gospel Tots - ages 1 - 2 Years Old
  • Gospel Tykes - ages 3 - 5 Years Old
  • Gospel Kids - K - 2nd Grade
  • Gospel Students - 3rd - 5th Grade
We use the Gospel Project for Kids curriculum for the Children's Ministry at GLC.  The Gospel Project for Kids is a Christ-centered ongoing weekly Bible study resource that looks at the big picture of God's story, the story of redemption through Jesus Christ. Each week, kids of all ages will follow a chronological timeline of Bible events while learning how each story points to the gospel of Jesus Christ.

And now for this week's lesson...

The People Grumbled

This upcoming Sunday your child will learn about: The People Grumbled
Story Point from Numbers 11-12: The people grumbled because they thought they needed more than God had provided. We also grumble when we wish God would give us more of the things we want. But God has already provided what we need most—His Son, Jesus, who died and rose again so we could be saved.
Family Bible Reading: We know that all things work together for the good of those who love God, who are called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28
Big Picture Question: Why should we obey God?
Big Picture Answer:  We should obey God because He made us, He loves us, and His plans are good.

Gospel Gems to Discuss at Home

Gospel Tots (ages 1 & 2 years old)
  •  God had given the people everything they needed. God has given us what we need too—His Son, Jesus—who died on the cross for our sin.
Gospel Tykes (ages 3 -5 years old)
  • The people grumbled even though God gave them everything they needed. We sometimes grumble too, but God gave us what we need most: Jesus! Jesus died and rose again to save us from our sins.
Gospel Kids (K - 2nd grade)
  • The people grumbled because they thought they needed more than God had provided. We also grumble when we wish God would give us more of the things we want. But God has already provided what we need most—His Son, Jesus, who died and rose again so we could be saved.
Gospel Students (3rd - 5th grade)
  • The people grumbled because they thought they needed more than God had provided. We also grumble when we wish God would give us more of the things we want. But God has already provided what we need most—His Son, Jesus, who died and rose again so we could be saved.
